I took 6-hours worth of driving lessons and received a certificate in the mail. This certificate supposedly will reduce my insurance, but I’m guessing it varies on the company. We recently switched to Geico. Does anyone have any estimate as to how much I will save?

They don’t have to reduce the rate at all, but it’s worth a shot on calling your agent. Usually they dole out the 5% discount for driving courses, but occasionally they’ll give a 15% if your agent is feeling good that day.
Ever spit in the ocean?…..
As far as i know, in NY, it reduces up to 10%, no matter what insurance company you have. Call geico or you broker and ask them how much did your premium go down. It takes about 30 days for the discount to be applied to your policy after you send the certificate to them.
